From May 8th to 11th,2018,the International Conference on Optical and Photonic Engineeringwas held in Shanghai. The conference was organized by the Society of Optics and Photonics of Singapore,Xi'an Technological University, Shanghai University, Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, China Laser Magazine, Singapore Optics and Photonics. Institutes such as the China Chapter and other institutions .
The conference includes inter-regional, inter-regional, and international events. It reviewed the latest,landmark scientificopticalresearch achievements. It aims to make participants in different backgrounds and ages aware of the central role of optics in science and culture,and to makeoptics receive more extensive attention.The convening of this conference has promoted the international cooperation in scientific researches and talents between China andSingapore and promoted the continuous development of Chinese optics and the transformation of scientific research achievements.
More than 200 domestic and foreign scholars from 31 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, Japan and Singapore participated in the conference.The domestic and foreign experts participating in the conference shared their research results, and had friendly and lively exchangestheoptical technology with the participants.This academic exchangeplayed an important guiding role in the future scientific research.Academician Zhuang Songlin of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, known as "one of the biggest contributors to modern white light optical information processing," introduced the application of terahertz in the human security inspection system.Prof. David J. Brady, Duke University, USA, introduced the application and optimization of optical imaging and spectroscopy in camera resolution in detail.Prof. Tian Ailing was invited to give a special invitation report for the conference.Associate Prof. Gong Lei and Guo Rongli were invited to give the branch report respectively.The conference actively promoted our school's academic influence and popularity in the field of optical manufacturing and detection and light scattering at home and abroad.
